Victor Lindelof is set to stay at Benfica until the summer

Benfica finished second behind Napoli in Group B and play Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.

Mourinho is also weighing up a move for Southampton captain Jose Fonte and could add him to Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.

Smalling is back in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to West Brom but has not featured since the Chelsea defeat with a broken toe.

Bailly has impressed since his £30m move from Villarreal but suffered an injury against Chelsea as well and is heading to the Africa Cup of Nations next month.
