Valencia Plot Surprise Swoop For Chelsea Midfielder And Free Agent Emmanuel Adebayor
He has been linked with clubs in China, Italy and France.
And Spanish newspaper Plaza Deportivanow claim Valencia could move for the Nigerian.
According to the report, Valencia manager Cesare Prandelli wants to make an offer for Mikel but is aware of rival interest.
And Plaza Deportiva also claim that Prandelli has earmarked Adebayor as another viable January target.
Adebayor, 32, is without a club after leaving Crystal Palace earlier this year.
He is preparing to play for Togo in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and is free to sign for a club outside the transfer window because he is unattached.
The former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham forward had a brief loan spell in La Liga with Real Madrid back in 2011.
French side Lyon are said to have considered offering the forward a short-term deal earlier this season, only for the club to withdraw their interest.
As for Chelsea, they are believed to be eyeing new midfield talent after cashing in on Oscar’s £60million switch to Shanghai SIPG.
