BREAKING: Serial Killer Charles Manson Rushed From Prison To Hospital In California

The killer is thought to be seriously ill and was taken from California State Prison in Corcoran to a hospital in Bakersfield, California, although his medical issue has not been released.

The 82-year-old is serving life behind bars after ordering his followers – known as the Manson Family – to murder director Roman Polanski's actress wife, Sharon Tate, and six others in Los Angeles over two nights.

Tate – who was eight months pregnant when she was killed – and three of her friends were killed at her Beverly Hills home after Manson demanded their murder.

Manson was sentenced to life imprisonment in August 1969 in what prosecutors said was part of a plot to incite racial war between whites and blacks.
