Man ‘Shoots Dead Girlfriend’s Pet Donkey’ Following Argument

A man allegedly killed his girlfriend’s pet donkey following an argument.

Olvydas Abromavicius, 50, was said to have shot five-year-old Jack in the head on Sunday.

The incident happened following a drunken fight with his girlfriend at a residence in 8600 block, North Wilhelm Road, Indiana.

She also told police he had assaulted her, according to wibc.com.

Officers, who responded to a domestic disturbance, called vets to the location at 9pm after they found the donkey bleeding.

But the animal died before help arrived. Abromavieius was so drunk (he had an alcohol blood content of .30 %) that he was initially taken to hospital before being charged domestic battery and animal cruelty.

Abromavieius, from Union Pier, Michigan, was eventually bailed for $1,505 (£1,232) and is due at La Porte Superior Court on Tuesday at 1pm.
