'Lets MOVE ON' Donald Trump Urges Americans To Unite And FORGET About Hillary Clinton

The 45th President of the United States, who attacked Hillary Clinton during the Presidential campaign as the FBI investigated her use of a private email server when handling Government documents, claimed he did not know if his former rival would be investigated in the future.

In response to a question asking if Americans would not hear about any more future Clinton probes, President Trump told ABC News: “I just don’t know, I mean I hope so.

“From my standpoint we want to move on to the future, so I hope so. I don’t know what the status of that is, I know it is a lot of very serious stuff, but I certainly hope so.”

President Trump and Clinton brutally battled for the White House, leading the phrase “lock her up” to become a favourite among his supporters - some of whom chanted it as Clinton arrived for Trump’s inauguration.

In order to make peace on his big day, Hillary Clinton tweeted: “I’m here today to honour our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future.”

President Trump led a standing ovation for Hillary and Bill Clinton during his Inaugural luncheon.

The 70-year-old billionaire said: “There is something that I wanted to say: Because I was very honoured – very, very honoured – when I heard that President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton was coming today.

“I think it’s appropriate to say… I’d like you to stand up. I’d like you to stand up.”

The National Statuary Hall in Washington broke into a 30-second ovation which encouraged the President to give a thumbs up as he added: “Honestly, there’s nothing more I can say because I have a lot of respect for those two people.”

Sources close to Bill and Hillary Clinton have said they expect the political couple to make a comeback to US politics.

Mack McLarty, Bill Clinton’s first chief-of-staff, said: “Despite the grave disappointment, resilience is in the Clintons’ DNA. So, while I certainly don’t expect to see them trying to assert their authority, I think there will be natural and welcome opportunities for them to engage."
