Manchester United Considering Lassana Diarra Transfer Move

Manchester United are reportedly considering a January transfer window swoop for Marseille midfielder and long-term target Lassana Diarra.

The Red Devils may be about to do a deal with the Ligue 1 giants for bench-warmer Morgan Schneiderlin, so could do with a replacement who’d be more content with a backup role at Old Trafford.

Diarra is a favourite of United boss Jose Mourinho after playing under him at Chelsea and Real Madrid, and has enjoyed something of a renaissance in form over the last year or so.

According to Foot Mercato, clubs in the Chinese Super League are also after the 31-year-old this winter, with Diarra tempted by one last big pay day.

Still, United can also offer big money and managed to lure veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club in the summer transfer window despite more lucrative offers from around the world.

Diarra has also had spells with Arsenal and Portsmouth in the Premier League earlier in his career.
