Michelle Obama Graciously Dresses Down To Make Way For America’s New First Lady On Inauguration Day

Michelle Obama has style, in every sense of the word, and knew all too well that today was not about her.

Her final outfit as a resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was simple but poignant and served its purpose perfectly. As always, America's much loved First Lady was on message and delivered one last time.

Michelle welcomed her successor with open arms, and wrapped an arm around Melania Trump as they posed, alongside their husbands, for photographs. Melania arrived bearing a Tiffany jewellery box, which she presented to Michelle as the pair embraced.

Interestingly both women opted for elegant up dos, and both showcased some very spectacular sparkly diamond earrings.

But today it was all about Melania in her pale blue Ralph Lauren outfit, and full respect to Michelle for smiling on warmly.

Right from the beginning, Michelle’s look has been all about embracing new designers and she immediately won us over with her all-American style.
